Traci Schmidt:
Scheduling Coordinator

Role:
As Scheduling Coordinator for Visiting Angels, Traci keeps the client’s and caregiver’s schedules in order and up to date. She finds appropriately qualified caregivers for each client, and makes any requested changes to the schedule. Traci ensures that all Visiting Angels care recipients are assigned the best caregiver to meet their needs, so that each client is satisfied with our services.

Background:
Traci has worked with seniors and developmentally disabled individuals since she was 16 years old. She began working with her mother at a local church, translating sermons to Sign Language for the deaf, and hearing impaired, and later adopted a grandparent with her family. Traci is a certified First Responder and Emergency Medical Technician in the state of California. She is also a former Visiting Angels caregiver, with a total of 9 years in the caregiving field.

Why:
Traci takes pride in how she was raised and by the family values she was taught. Observing the dedication of her mother, uncle and grandfather, all in the medical field, showed her the importance of caring for others. Growing up around her family’s gentle kindness and commitment to helping others led Traci to choose a career in caregiving.

Interests:
In Traci’s free time, she enjoys planning events and entertaining friends and family, playing Disc Golf, working out, going to the beach, and taking care of her various pets.
